Young Master Rises (2024)
During the eve of the Opium Wars in late Qing Dynasty, the country was weak and plagued by rampant opium addiction, causing great suffering among the people. Huang Feihong, the leader of a civilian group, was ambushed by a secret organization known as the Fire Lotus Sect, leaving his fate uncertain and hindering the anti-smoking campaign. Su Can, entrusted with a perilous mission, joined forces with Mingxin, a skilled female member of the beggar gang, to continue the investigation into the Fire Lotus Sect’s sale of opium. They ventured deep into the enemy’s lair to rescue Huang Feihong. The Fire Lotus Sect deceived the masses by comparing opium to a mythical herb and using mysterious techniques to manipulate their minds. Along the way, they encountered the manipulative Master Jueyan, who controlled puppet-like assassins, the enigmatic and malicious Evil Emperor, and the ambivalent female killer of the Fire Lotus Sect, Mingling. The Evil Emperor framed Su Can, leading to his downfall and reducing him to a beggar. In his lowest moment, Su Can received help from Mingxin, the woman he admired, and the elder of the beggar gang imparted him with the secret martial arts of their sect. With renewed determination, Su Can joined forces with Minister Li, who was leading the anti-smoking campaign, and engaged in a final showdown with the Fire Lotus Sect. Thus, the passionate young man, Su Qier, embarked on a path to save his country.
