Tai Chi & Qigong for UTS staff
More than a year ago, at UTS (University of Technology, Sydney (UTS), a weekly lunch time Tai Chi & Qigong group exercise was introduced that later has become a part of the University’s wellbeing program. The group is lead by Dr Larissa Koroleva, an administrative officer who also happened to be a world class Tai Chi & Qigong expert who is not only a winner at international Tai Chi competitions, but also a coach of many successful athletes. “A gentle Tai Chi exercise helps to reduce stress, relax and to get through the busy university day with a smile“, said Dr Larissa. A small, but growing group of new and old Tai Chi enthusiasts meets every Tuesday which, as one of group members said, “became a favourite day of a week and a great motivator of coming to the campus”.
