International Wudang Tai Chi Culture Festival (October 2026)

* Wudang Mountains, China | October 2026 *

As an important component of China’s excellent traditional culture, Wudang Tai Chi culture embodies philosophical concepts such as “Unity of Heaven and Man,” “The Highest Good is Like Water,” and “Harmony and Coexistence.” It is increasingly becoming a significant vehicle for promoting mutual learning among civilizations and fostering the building of a community with a shared future for mankind. Currently, Wudang Mountain has established 57 martial arts promotion centers worldwide, attracting and training over 3 million people from more than 150 countries and regions, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Russia, and Japan, to become “foreign students” of Tai Chi. This has spurred over 100 million people globally to practice Tai Chi.

In 2026, the Wudang Tai Chi Quan International Friendship Competition is expected to be concurrently held. It will feature three major categories: individual, paired, and group routines. Participants are usually divided into five age groups: children, youth, young adults, middle-aged, and seniors. Since its inception in 1999, the competition has been successfully held for many consecutive sessions, with a cumulative total of over 10,000 participating athletes, including more than 2,000 from abroad. It has become an important platform for the international promotion of Tai Chi and cultural exchange.
