Wushu in FISU World University Games

Wushu entered the programme of the FISU World University Championships officially in 2014. The first World University Wushu Championship took place 2-5 August 2018 in Macau, China.
In 2022 Wushu was part of the FISU University World Cup Combat Sports in Samsun (TUR). Combat Sports (with Wushu as a discipline) now return to a FISU World University Championship format.

In 2023, Wushu was a part of FISU World University Games in Chengdu, China. Australia was represented by Brandon Foo and Reagan Tan from WA Chin Woo as part of the Uniroos which is comprised of 98 student-athletes and 20 coaches and officials, competing in 11 sports across the 12-day event. The UniRoos competed against student-athletes from over 50 countries.
